Car Club - Overview
Car Clubs are an excellent way of maintaining your access to a car without the need for ownership with its associated high fixed costs. They are very well suited for replacing a second or third family car and all the unnecessary expense that they entail. Savings on car club membership versus second car ownership can be up to £1500 per year (source Carplus).
We recognise that for some applications, particularly in rural areas, a car is almost essential. Membership of a car club allows a user to book a car for as little as one hour to run an errand or longer for, say, a weekend away.
Dragonflyer Mobility has started its rural car clubs, initially for Chew Magna and Stowey Sutton with Yatton and District and Wrington to follow. If you’re interested, fill in the registration of interest form and return it to us so that we may keep you up to date. You can download it as an MS Word file and e-mail it to us too.
If you’ve read enough and want to move to become a member, there is some paperwork that is needed : photo (for membership card), signed driver insurance declaration, signed terms and conditions. Please call Steve Tainton on 07771 583860 for full details or read on .

We have the cars already and are going as fast as we can. Please fill in a no-obligation registration of interest form below because we need to hear from possible members to assess where best to position and use the cars we have available.
Who administers the club?
Dragonflyer will manage the cars but we would welcome people who want to be involved in their communities in a more “hands-on” way because we want to support this as a community initiative.
